TOPEKA — Janice Lee Davidson, Burlingame, died Monday, May 18, 2020, at Stormont Vail Hospital, Topeka. She was 61.

She was born Aug. 22, 1958, in Liberal, the daughter of Kenneth and Virginia Dean Webb. She attended grade school in Englewood. She later attended Burlingame High School and graduated in 1976.

Janice married Dean Davidson Sept. 18, 1976, in Burlingame. This marriage blessed them with three children. Amber Horne, Becky Holmberg and Bryan Davidson. They later divorced. She later fell in love with Roger Burgess. They made their home in Burlingame, and were blessed with three children. Jesse Burgess, Josh Burgess and April Lang.

She held numerous jobs throughout her life, finishing her career with USD 454. Janice was a dedicated mother and grandmother not only to her own children, but to others in the community as well.

Janice enjoyed tending to her flowers and garden. She also enjoyed spending her time in the yard doing yard work. She was famous for her chocolate chip cookies and her chocolate sheet cake. She always looked forward to spending time with her family during the holidays. She attended many school functions such as games and graduations for all her children and grandchildren throughout the years. Janice and Roger enjoyed country cruising and looking at flowers throughout the countryside.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Jerry Webb; and mother-in-law, Aletta Burgess.

She is survived by her spouse, Roger Burgess; father-in-law, Gene Burgess; six children, Amber Horne and husband, Tony, Becky Holmberg and husband, Eric, Bryan Davidson and wife Melinda, Jesse Burgess, Josh Burgess and wife, Alla, and April Lang and husband, Jake; 17 grandchildren, Mark, Madison, Mariah and Makenzie Smitha, Clayton (Tori) Holmberg, Faith Holmberg, Kevin, Chandler, Jason, Kiera, Kiylea, Kaysen, and Kinslee Davidson, Eli Burgess, Luke Burgess, and Makenna and Audrey Lang; four sisters, Carol Scheuerman and husband, Mike, MaryAnn Kittle and husband, Don, Beverly Yoder and husband, Vernon and Joyce Trammell and husband, Eric; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
