TOPEKA — Lester L. Arb, Osage City, died Thursday, Feb. 20, 2020, at Topeka Center, Topeka. He was 83.

He was born March 4, 1936, in Lebo, the son of Harvey and Nellie Childers Arb. Lester grew up in Lebo, lived in Lyndon for 47 years and lived in Osage City since 2008.

He was a self employed carpenter, roofer and painter. He was a member of the Euclid Lodge No. 101 A.F.&A.M., and Osage County Historical Society, both in Lyndon. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church. He loved his vegetable and flower gardens.

He married Dora Manning, July 19, 1957, in Lebo. She survives of the home.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Barbara; and two brothers, Wilbur and Harvey.

Besides his wife, he is survived by three children, Diana Klumpe and husband, Leo, Topeka, Larry Arb and wife, Kathy, Osage City, and Debbie Miller and husband, Jim, Hall, Texas; a sister, Geneva Phillips, Osawatomie; three granddaughters; five great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

He was cremated. Memorial services will be held at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made to Emporia Zoo or Osage County Senior Citizens Center and sent in care of Feltner Funeral Home, 818 Topeka Ave., Lyndon, KS 66451.
