TOPEKA — Dale H. Stout, Topeka, died Thursday, Jan. 9, 2020. He was 86.

He was born Dec. 16, 1933, Burlingame, the son of Henson Rozelle and Marjorie Lucille Workman Stout. He graduated from Burlingame High School in 1951.

Dale was a member of the U.S. Army from 1955 to 1957. He worked for Santa Fe Railroad for 16 years and later for First State Bank of Burlingame, where he retired as a executive vice-president, after 25 years of service. He was a member of Burlingame Chamber of Commerce, Burlingame School Board, Burlingame Historical Society and a 50-year member of Corinthian Lodge No. 79.

Dale married Carol L. McEwen, May 23, 1954, in Burlingame. They celebrated 65 years of marriage. She survives.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Virginia Hotchkiss; and a step-father, Chet Bruner.

Besides his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Lynne Saunders and husband, Mitch; a son, Kevin Stout and wife, Cindy; six grandchildren, Nick Saunders, Brock Saunders, Brett Stout, Kyle Stout, Lauren Stout and Madison Stout; six great grandchildren, Ashlyn Stout, Kenzie Stout, Miranda Stout, Nora Stout, Jackson Stout and Knox Watkins; a sister, Helen Lamoureux; and a step-brother, Cliff Bruner.

A funeral service was Tuesday, Jan. 14, at Susanna Wesley United Methodist Church, Topeka. Burial followed in Burlingame Cemetery. Visitation will be 10 a.m. until service time Tuesday at the church.
