BURLINGAME — Patty Ann Whitmore Harr, Burlingame, died Friday, Jan. 3, 2020. She was 81.

She was born May 22, 1938, in Ottawa, the daughter of John and Nellie Vaughn Whitmore. She graduated from Osage City High School.

Patty married Gerald “Shot” Harr May 26, 1956. While they lived in Topeka, she worked for Blue Cross Blue Shield, Van T Chevrolet, Shopper City and was a Tupperware dealer. In 1967, they moved to Burlingame and purchased the Fina gas station and later owned and operated Harr’s Camper Sales and Service for many years. She also did the books for Bearcat Construction and Burlingame COOP.

She was preceded in death by the love of her life, Shot Harr; her parents; a brother, Earl Gene Whitmore; and a daughter, Brenda Dorr.

She is survived by two daughters, Debbie Parsons and husband, David and Cathy Fagan and husband, Chuck; a son-in-law, Mike Dorr; eight grandchildren, Tricia (Kris) Kline, Anje (Delbert) Hinkelman, Jeremy Dorr, Tyler (Amie) Parsons, Clay (Ashley) Fagan, Brianna (Bryant) Derley, Miranda (Colby) Gardner and Shelby Dorr; and 12 great grandchildren, Kristen Kline, Kade Kline, Kilee Waters, Cooper Parsons, Kasen Parsons, Allison Frieson, Charlie Frieson, Preston Hinkelman, Rian Derley, Harper Gardner, Leo Fagan, and Colt Gardner.

A graveside funeral service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 8, at Burlingame Cemetery, Burlingame.

Memorial contributions may be made to Patty Harr Scholarship Fund and sent in care of Carey Funeral Home, P.O. Box 196, Burlingame, KS 66413.
