Sarah Sue Reece

TOPEKA — Sarah Sue Reece, Lyndon, died Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2019, at Stormont-Vail Hospital, Topeka. She was 60.

She was born Oct. 15, 1959, in Topeka, the daughter of Donald and Nancy Streeter Reece. Sarah lived in the Lyndon and Melvern communities for over 40 years.

She graduated from Lyndon High School in 1977. She worked at Lyndon Carnegie Library, BETO Junction and as a secretary for Econo-Clad, in Topeka, for over 20 years.

Sarah was preceded in death by her mother, Nancy, on March 15, 1998; a brother, Don Reece Jr., on April 9, 2004; and a great-nephew, Rhett James Reece.

She is survived by her father, Donald Reece Sr. and wife, Jane, Meriden; two brothers, Duane “Buck” Reece and wife, Lety, Burlington, and Ron Reece and wife, Tami, Lyndon; a sister, Shelly Janssen and husband, Lyle, Melvern; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Memorial services will be 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 24 at Feltner Funeral Chapel, Lyndon. The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. until service time at the chapel. Inurnment will follow at Melvern Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Sarah Reece Memorial Fund and sent in care of Feltner Funeral Home, 818 Topeka Ave., Lyndon, KS 66451.
