Charles Edwin Shaw

OLATHE — Charles Edwin Shaw, Osage City, died Monday, Nov. 18, 2019, at Good Samaritan Society, Olathe. He was 90.

He was born Feb. 10, 1929, in Shell City, Mo., the son of William T. and Ruby Pearl Major Shaw.

He was a handyman in construction and carpet laying.

He married Evelyn Margaret Pronier May 6, 1950, in Pittsburgh.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Robert Dale Shaw; and a grandchild, Misty Shaw.

Charles will be forever remembered by three daughters, Patricia Wallace and Donna Pace, both of Myrtle Beach, S.C., and Rebecca Gibson and husband, Jeff, Kansas City; two sons, Charles W. Shaw and wife, Cheryl, Ottawa, and Norman Shaw, Eskridge; a brother, William T. Shaw Jr., Topeka; 14 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Memorial graveside services will be 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 25, at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, 3800 Road S, south of Admire. He was cremated.

Memorial contributions may be made to Good Samaritan Society-Olathe and sent in care of VanArsdale Funeral Chapel, 107 N. Sixth St., Osage City, KS 66523.
