Patricia Ann Burkdoll

OVERBROOK — Patricia Ann Burkdoll, Lyndon, died Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2019, at Fields of Brookside, Overbrook. She was 82.

She was born July 10, 1937, near Quenemo, the daughter of Orville Jefferson and Edna Willine Wiggins Rose.

Pat lived in Osage County all of her life, near Melvern for 12 years and then east of Lyndon for over 40 years.

She graduated from Lyndon High School in 1955. She was a homemaker and farmwife. She worked on the election board for Osage County. She was a member of Westview Circle Club, PTA and American Redbone Association. Pat was an avid reader, enjoyed gardening and crocheting. She attended Mt. Pleasant Community Church and True Grace Community Church.

Pat married Dean Lee Burkdoll Aug. 1, 1955 in Lyndon. He survives.

She was preceded in death by a son, Terry Burkdoll on Dec. 17, 2004; her parents, Orville and Willine; two brothers, Larry Rose and Donald Rose; and a sister, Jolinda Rose.

Besides her husband of 64 years, she is survived by three sons, Steve Burkdoll and wife, Beverly, Melvern, Dave Burkdoll and wife, Peggy, Melvern, and Alan Burkdoll, Topeka; a daughter, LeeAnn Samsel and husband, Robert, Lyndon; three sisters, Kathryn Wischropp, El Dorado, Helen Nordling, Kentucky and LouAnn Brinkley, Ottawa; 14 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and six step-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 16 at Feltner Funeral Chapel, Lyndon. Burial will follow at Lyndon Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Pat Burkdoll Memorial Fund, to be designated later and sent in care of Feltner Funeral Home, 818 Topeka Ave., Lyndon, KS. 66451.
