LYNDON—Fall is officially underway and Lyndon has planned an event in celebration of the season this weekend.
The Lyndon Fall Festival will begin at 9 a.m. Saturday, with a craft and vendor fair and bake sales.
Plenty of events for children will be available starting at 10 a.m. including a bounce house obstacle course, free children games, corn pit, pumpkin painting, glitter tattoos, rock star hairdos, and more. Other activities include a toilet toss, giant tailgate toss, football throw, duck pond, pumpkin bowling and frog launcher.
From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. do not miss the student art show, which is fall inspired works by Lyndon students. Children can have fun being a fireman by touching the fire truck buttons, climbing the trucks and having fun putting out the fire. A silent auction, with plenty of items to bid on will be available. Bids will end at 2 p.m.
At 10 a.m., noon and 2 p.m. stop by and find the prizes in the corn. Cash prizes of $100 in each round will be up for grabs, along with other great prizes.
The Cruz Drumline will entertain at 10:30 a.m. Grab a prop and strike a pose in the photo booth from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The food court will be open 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. serving hamburgers and hotdogs. Other classic food favorites available are cotton candy, caramel apples, kettle corn and funnel cakes.
A nail driving contest will be held at 1 p.m. and the Dance Spot will perform at 1 p.m.
