OSAGE COUNTY—The last time TJ Kemble was seen alive, he was walking along the highway in the early morning hours of Sunday, Aug. 24.
At 5:03 a.m. Aug. 24, the Osage County Sheriff’s Office received a phone call in regards to a white male walking on US-56 Hwy near mile marker 410, a half mile west of Paulen Road. Minutes later, another call came to the Sheriff’s Office of a body in the road at the same location.
Upon deputies’ arrival at the scene, the body of Timothy J. Kemble, 20, Carbondale was found in the roadway. He was later pronounced dead.
“It very well could be an accident, but somebody didn’t report it,” said Dunn. “We know people get scared, but if that’s the case they need to come forward.”
The Osage County Sheriff’s Office is leading the investigation into Kemble’s death and actively working with Kansas Highway Patrol.
“We are conducting several interviews with those close to him, friends and family,” Dunn said Tuesday. “At this time, no one has been arrested in connection with his death.”
The Osage County Sheriff’s Office is seeking information from anyone who was traveling in the area of US-56 Hwy around 5 a.m. and anyone who had spoke with Kemble prior to that time to call (785) 828-3121 or 1-877-OSCRIME.
“We have a family that needs closure and some answers,” said Dunn.
