At 5:03 a.m. Aug. 24, the Osage County Sheriff’s Office received a phone call in regards to a white male walking on US-56 Hwy near mile marker 410, or half of one mile west of Paulen Road on US-56 Hwy.
At 5:06 a.m. another call came to the Sheriff’s Office of a body in the road at the same location.
Upon deputies’ arrival at the scene, the body of Timothy J. Kemble, 20, Carbondale, was found in the roadway. He was later pronounced dead.
The Kansas Highway Patrol was asked to assist in the investigation on Hwy 56, however at this time the Osage County Sheriff’s Office has taken over the investigation. Kemble’s cause of death has yet to be determined. An autopsy is scheduled for later today.
The Osage County Sheriff’s Office is asking for information from anyone who was traveling in the area of US-56 Hwy around 5 a.m. and anyone who had spoke with Kemble prior to that time to call (785) 828-3121 or 1-877-OSCRIME.
