TOPEKA — Brenda Richardson, 81, Carbondale, died Saturday, Aug. 28, 2021, at Stormont-Vail Hospital, Topeka.

She was born July 17, 1940, in Monterey, Calif., the daughter of Wesley and Mary (Denison) Biesemeyer.

Brenda was united in marriage to Richard “Dick” Richardson June 5, 1978, in Topeka. She had lived in Topeka for many years before moving near Carbondale in 1982. She worked as a case worker for job service with the State of Kansas until her retirement.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Wesley and Mary.

Brenda is survived by her husband, Dick, of 43 years; five children, John Graham, Fredericksburg, Va., Ronna Richardson, Pyatt, Ark., Kevin Richardson, Burlingame, Mark Jackson, Marion, Ohio, and George Richardson, Joplin, Mo.; four siblings, Mary Creech, Topeka, Phyllis Conley, Kent, Wash., Fred Biesemeyer, Topeka, and Cindy Old Crow, Lodge Grass, Mont.; 10 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 2, at Feltner Funeral Chapel, Lyndon. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, Sept. 3, at Feltner Funeral Chapel, with burial following at Carbondale Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Helping Hands Humane Society and sent in care of Feltner Funeral Home, 818 Topeka Ave., Lyndon, KS 66451.
