OVERBROOK – June (Earl) Branson, Carbondale, died Sunday, May 2, 2021, at Brookside Manor, Overbrook. She was 95.

June was born June 1, 1925, in Fall River, the daughter of Edgar D. and Zella (Johnson) Earl.
She was united in marriage to Frank Dale Branson Jan. 5, 1944. They shared over 71 years of marriage before Frank died Oct. 17, 2015. To this union, three sons were born, Jack Dean, Frank James and Richard Allen.

June was a devoted wife and mother, and spent most of her early life taking care of her family. She later worked at Skip’s Thriftway, Carbondale, for many years, and would also help Frank with odd-job home repairs.

June was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Frank; son, Jack Dean Branson, March 26, 2004; three brothers, John, Dale and Everette Earl; and three sisters, Viola Hawn, Zella Mae Branson and Annabell Kitchens.

She is survived by three sons, Frank James “Jim” (Patti) Branson, Richard “Dick” Allen (Darlene) Branson, and Roy David (Susan) Moore, all of Carbondale; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 12, at the Carbondale Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Osage County Fire District #1 and sent in care of Feltner Funeral Home, 818 Topeka Ave., Lyndon, KS 66451.
