Patricia Mae Dennison

TOPEKA — Patricia Mae Dennison, Burlingame, died Wednesday, Dec. 2, 2020, at Tanglewood Health and Rehabilitation in Topeka. She was 84.

She was born July 19, 1936, in Eskridge, the daughter of Woodrow Wilson and Juanita Faye (Prescott) Mercer. She graduated from Eskridge High School in 1954.

Patricia married Charles Edwin Dennison May 20, 1954, in Illinois. He precede her in death. To this union, five children were born Rita, Shirley, John, Duane, and Cindy.

Pat and Charley loved camping, fishing, and traveling to Branson, Yellow Stone National Park, Mount Rushmore and numerous places in Colorado.

She was a homemaker for her husband and children. She had worked as a housekeeper and at Burlingame City Hall.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Larry and Jim Mercer.

Pat will be forever remembered by three daughters, Shirley (Steve) Marcotte, Gridley, Rita (Kenny) Hinck, Burlingame, and Cindy Dennison (LuAnne Moore), Topeka; two sons, John Dennison, Osage City, and Duane (Ellen) Dennison, Burlingame; a brother, Monty (Nancy) Mercer, Delia; 10 grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.

A private family graveside was held at Burlingame Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Burlingame Federated Church and sent in care of VanArsdale Funeral Chapel, 107 N. Sixth St., Osage City 66523.
