LYNDON — Juanita Basinger died Tuesday, Aug. 11, 2020, at her home near Lyndon. She was 78.

She was born Feb. 3, 1942, in Spear, Texas, the daughter of Ted Daily and Mona Winchell. She lived in Lawrence for several years and lived near Lyndon for the last 20 years.

Juanita worked for Kansas Color Press as a machine operator until retiring and then an owner and promoter of Dragoon Motocross Park, north of Lyndon. She was a member of the Michigan Valley Community Church.

She married Richard Basinger April 28, 1977, in Pittsburg. He survives of the home

Besides her husband, she is survived by a son, Steve Herschell, Great Bend; two daughters, Susan Butcher, Osage City, and Sandra Adams, Lawrence; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, Aug. 21, at Feltner Funeral Chapel, Lyndon. Burial will follow at Vassar Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the chapel.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Juanita Basinger Memorial Fund, to be designated later, and sent in care of Feltner Funeral Home, 818 Topeka Ave., Lyndon, KS 66451.
