OSAGE CITY — Carolyn Hensley Sunday, April 5, 2020, at Osage Nursing Center, Osage City. She was 91.

She was born April 4, 1929, on a farm west of Osage City, the daughter of Fred and Mary Smith Bourne. She lived all of her life in Osage City, where she graduated from Osage City High School in 1947.

Carolyn had made cakes and cookies for weddings and anniversaries for over 50 years. She had worked for Dr. Sexton, in Osage City, managed Ronald’s Variety Store and worked for Park Pharmacy and Gibson Pharmacy. She was a member of Osage City United Methodist Church, Bridge Club and volunteered at ECKAN.

Carolyn married Ronald Hensley June 24, 1950, in Topeka. He preceded her in death on April 9, 2005.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by twin daughters, Shez Lee and Shelly Dee; her parents, Fred and Mary; two brothers, Roger and Robert Bourne; and a sister, Dorothy Phelon.

Carolyn is survived by two sons, Bruce Hensley and wife, Cherryl, Osage City, and Todd Hensley and wife, Connie, Reading; two granddaughters, Rhonda Sapp and Nicole Senft; and four great-grandchildren.

Due to the current situation, a private family graveside service will be held at Osage City Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Osage City Public Library or Osage County Senior Center and sent in care of Feltner Funeral Home, 818 Topeka Ave, Lyndon, KS 66451.
