Jean Lois Ingersoll

Jan. 3, 1920 – June 4, 2014

TOPEKA—Jean Lois Ingersoll died June 4, 2014, at Topeka. She was 94.

She was born Jan. 3, l920, at Topeka, the daughter of John Daneke and Genevieve Petereck Daneke.

She taught school at Cargy School in Douglas County and Overbrook Grade School before her marriage to Phillip Ingersoll in 1942 in Topeka. He preceded her in death in 1952.

Robert A. Ramonda

Jan. 9, 1935 – June 1, 2014

KANSAS CITY—Robert A. Ramonda died June 1, 2014, at KU Medical Center. He was 79.

He was born Jan. 9, 1935, at Osage City, the son of Peter and Agnes Diana Ramonda.

He married Kathleen Wilson Feb. 1, 1958, at Osage City. She survives.

They spent 56 years together. To this union, three daughters were born, DeAnn Ramonda, Topeka, Laurinda Ramonda Schlesener and husband, Steve, Scranton, and Jana Dreasher and husband, JD, Eskridge.

Rhoda Grace Johanna Culbertson

June 12, 1950 – June 3, 2014

Calvin L. Bayless

Nov. 11, 1928 – June 1, 2014

BURLINGAME—Calvin L. Bayless, Burlingame, died June 1, 2014. He was 85.

He was born Nov. 11, 1928, at Paxico, the son of Harvey and Cecil Nettelton Bayless. He attended Snokomo School House.

He worked for Bob Florence Contractor Inc., and was a farmer.

He married Marjorie I. Waetzig, April 6, 1951. She preceded him in death on April 27, 1999. He was also preceded in death by eight brothers and sisters.

Glenn E. Love

June 1, 2014

DIXIE, Miss.—Glenn E. Love, Dixie Community, a suburb of Hattiesburg, Miss., died June 1, 2014, at Forrest General Hospital. He was 87.

He served in the U.S. Air Force and was a member of Dixie Baptist Church. He was the owner of Glenn Love Plumbing, a life member of Elks Lodge B.P.O.E. 599 and he enjoyed traveling, camping and fishing.

He was preceded in death by his parents, David and Reva Love; a brother, Wayne Love; and a son, John Kersh.

Doris Jean Sutton

July 8, 1924 – May 30, 2014

TULSA, Okla.—Doris Jean Sutton died May 30, 2014. She was 89.

She was born July 8, 1924, at Overbrook. She graduated from Overbrook High School and attended the University of Kansas.

She married Carl Bernard Sutton Nov. 3, 1946, at Overbrook. He preceded her in death on Oct. 24, 2013. They were married 67 years. They resided in Tulsa, Okla., for over 50 years.

Caroline Gray

Jan. 12, 1926 – May 30, 2014

OVERBROOK—Caroline Gray, Osage City, died May 30, 2014, at Brookside Retirement Community, Overbrook. She was 88.

She was born Jan. 12, 1926, at Fredonia, the daughter of William and Bonnie Weaver Chamberlain. She lived in Lyndon and Hiawatha, but lived most of her life in Topeka.

Charles P. Grover

June 25, 1947 – May 24, 2014

TOPEKA—Charles P. Grover, Topeka, died May 24, 2014, at Stormont Vail HealthCare, Topeka. He was 66.

He was born June 25, 1947, at Junction City, the son of Charles G. and Mabel L. Moyer Grover. He attended school in Mayetta and high school at Osage City.

He served his country as a Marine for six years and then moved back to Topeka to work at Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company. He worked there for 40 years and retired with a perfect attendance record.

Harriet Lucille Meneley

July 18, 1923 – May 25, 2014

QUENEMO—Harriet Lucille Meneley died May 25, 2014, at her home in Quenemo. She was 90.

She was born July 18, 1923, at Melvern, the daughter of Jesse and Hallenne Beck Goldsmith. She lived in Melvern most of her life and had been in Quenemo for the last 15 years.

She owned and operated Melvern Drug Store and Sundry for several years and also worked eight years at IBP in Emporia and as a security guard at Wolf Creek Nuclear Plant. She was a member of the Melvern United Methodist Church.

Lois Nadine Wagner

Feb. 27, 1937—May 18, 2014

MELVERN—Lois Nadine Wagner died May 18 at her home in Melvern. She was 77.

She was born Feb. 27, 1937 at Topeka, the daughter of Willard and Margaret Kelch Sims.

She lived in Burlingame for many years before moving to Melvern four years ago.

She was a seamstress, working at the Burlingame Sewing Factory for many years and then at the Venture department store. She was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church at Vassar.

She married William Dean Wagner Sept. 15, 1952, at Topeka. He preceded her in death April 18, 1973.
