Scranton to host “Saturday in the Park”

Scranton, this weekend

SCRANTON — Scranton will host “Saturday in the Park” beginning at 6:30 a.m. June 23.

The day’s events will kick off with a breakfast from 6:30 to 9 a.m. prepared by the Scranton Lions Club. The Lions will also sponsor the parade starting at 10 a.m. Vendors will be available from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

BURLINGAME — The hard work of a small group of people has been successful at getting the meal program for senior citizens returned to Burlingame. Kathy Poe, Raylene Quaney, Christine Shaffer and Donna Young have attended the meetings of the Osage County Commissioners and Board of Mid-America Nutrition Center, Ottawa, as well as countless hours on the phone to fight for the return of the meal program served at Townsite Apartments,

Vehicles of all kinds and ages roar into Lyndon

LYNDON — There was a record 145 vehicles registered for the seventh annual Get Rev’d Up motor show Saturday, June 16. The annual event is hosted by Lyndon United Methodist Church and was held in Lyndon City Park. Registered vehicles ranged from antiques to modern vehicles and customized vans to ratrods. Motorcycles were also on display in addition to the cars, trucks and vans.
