Boil Water Advisory Issued by KDHE for portions of Overbrook

TOPEKA – The Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) has issued a boil water advisory for portions of the City of Overbrook located in Osage County. The boil water advisory will affect the following two areas of town:

All customers on Elm Street south of Market Street. This will also affect customers on 2nd Street one block west of Elm Street.

All customers east of Maple Street between Highway 56 and 5th Street. This also includes customers along Highway 56 east of Maple Street to the city lake (including Casey’s General Store and Grace Community Church).

Due to the US Post Offices observing National Day of Mourning Wednesday, Dec. 5, subscription newspapers will not be mailed on Wednesday. Expect a one day delay on receiving your newspaper in the mail. Newspapers will be delivered to newsstands throughout Osage County on Wednesday, however, as normal.

Christmas on California Event Location Moved

The Christmas on California fundraiser event scheduled for 12:30 to 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 2, has moved to its inclement weather location. The event will take place at St. Brigid's Hall, Osage City. St. Brigid's Hall is located directly behind St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 309 S. Sixth St., Osage City.
