K-31 highway detour scheduled for Aug. 18-19 in Osage City

The City of Osage City will close K-31 for 48 hours on Tuesday, Aug. 18, and Wednesday, Aug. 19, to remove and replace the sewer lift station pumps located between Holliday
Street and Lakin Street by the north Casey’s General Store entrance.

The City of Osage City will also be doing asphalt replacement Aug. 18-19 on Market Street between 3rd Street and Topeka Street. Both lanes will be closed 48 hours or until both projects are completed. Local traffic will be diverted north or south on Third Street and Topeka Street. Highway traffic will be detoured down Lakin Street from K-31 Highway and Ninth Street to Highway 170 and Martin Street.
