Defendants receive prison time for drug, theft convictions

LYNDON—Two out of area defendants were sentenced Aug. 3 in Osage County District Court.

Shaun M. Stokoe, 43, Topeka, was sentenced to serve 30 months in the Kansas Department of Corrections for a possession of methamphetamine conviction from July 2014, after having his probation revoked in Osage County District Court. Stokoe failed to report to his probation officer, failed to comply with drug treatment, and continued to use drugs while on probation. Stokoe remains in the Osage County Jail awaiting transportation to the KDOC.

Aubrey C. Trail, 43, Falls City, Neb., was sentenced to serve 12 months in prison and to pay $2,700 in restitution after being convicted of felony theft for stealing gold coins from Four Corners Auction House back in August 2010. He remains in the Osage County Jail awaiting transportation to the KDOC.
